Adoption matters we specialize in
Step Parent Adoptions
Same sex couples may wish to pursue a stepparent adoption for different reasons. At the time of birth, same sex couples who are either married or in a Civil Union may have both names placed on the child’s birth certificate. However, the parent who is not genetically related to the child may wish to solidify this relationship through a stepparent adoption.
Certain conditions must be met in order to qualify for a stepparent adoption. We treat all couples with empathy, respect and the skills necessary to help you with your specific needs. We are happy to schedule a complimentary consultation on how we can assist you during the adoption process.
Second Parent Adoptions

This statute enabled same sex couples to adopt one another’s children and gave the adopting parent the rights and responsibilities afforded to a child’s legal parent.
